Reminder to all Sarasota Woodturners!  Since the first Tuesday in July falls on Independence Day, our Turning Tuesday Meeting will be held on July 11.  We don't want to interfere with barbecues and fireworks!

The meeting will be at CoreSRQ and will be live streamed on Zoom, and recorded. 

Back To Turning Basics

The demo will be presented by Franck Johannesen, on the topic of Bowl Turning Back to Basics.  Franck will touch on wood blank selection, blank preparation, mounting on the lathe, tool selection and turning technique, and finishing.  This demo will provide a great overall lesson for newer turners and give more experienced turners an opportunity to pick up tips and tricks and check their skills.  There will be something for everyone!

Cindy Drozda Items Auction

Due to technical issues, the auction of the Cindy Drozda piece was not held as scheduled on June 6.  It has been rescheduled for the July 19 general meeting, so that we can include members from all 3 clubs that participate in the demos.
